“Late New Year’s Eve” is a reduction print, inspired by the Handsome Family song, “Tin Foil.” The artwork is printed on 120 gsm Strathmore printmaking paper using water-based inks. Because a reduction print is created by carving away the previously printed layer, only a finite number of prints can be pulled from the block. With each subsequent layer, the block is effectively destroyed.
