Catching Up

It’s been a minute.

Life has been mostly plate spinning. And then the longer you go without updating a blog, the harder it is to get back into the swing of things. Anyway, a bit of catching up?

• I illustrated the cover and assorted other bits and pieces for Then a House Fell on Her Head…, coming out in October.

• Grimms’ Fairy Tales came out this past winter — I created the art for each of the included stories. I love fairy tales and when the idea of creating the illustrations in a printmaking style was initially broached, my answer was an immediate, “Yes!”

• The Anne of Green Gables inspired series I illustrated is now out in Italian. Molto bene…

• I’ve been writing longer pieces over on Substack and am still sharing sketches and other art on Instagram.

Aside from that? I’ve taken up bike riding (slowly). I’m getting ready to plant vegetables this weekend. I’m still working on the middle grade historical fantasy I’ve been plugging away at for the past couple years. I’m debating about starting a mail club. And I’ve fit in a few visits to see family out of state.

So in general, just keeping on keeping on.
