Highways and Byways

The view from these parts and the spaces in between. Things are green, growing and good.
Assorted Things:
* I've been taking an etching class Monday nights at Chases's Garage and just finished up this week. I absolutely loved the course and the instructor was terrific. Stepping aside from a computer monitor and getting inky hands was just what the doctor ordered. Also, running prints is a major bicep workout. Win-win!
* Ne Quittez Pas is well-worth the watch.
* The library at Phillips Exeter is 110% a good idea for a visit.
The Mushroom Gatherers

Something from earlier in the spring, back when green, growing things seemed as farfetched as mushroom gathering maidens.
Ella Incognito

A warmup painting from this morning, before jumping into the thick of things.
Cream + Sugar

It's Friday (insert: flinging of imaginary confetti)! Hope your week was swell. I made this pattern eons ago (for a Spoonflower challenge) and forgot about it until I was rifling through files this afternoon. Speaking of which, some French Press sounds splendid about now...
Happy weekends!
Alfred

The comic project my sister, Emily, and I have been collaborating on is ready to go. We're excited to share Alfred -- we've had a blast working on this and hope you like it, too. You can read weekly updates every Monday over here.
The back story? Over the holidays a coffeeshop conversation ended up evolving into Emily's idea for a comic. Many months, several late nights and a couple weekends later, we're ready to go. Alfred is equal parts sci-fi, fantasy and mystery, with a healthy dose of Maine thrown in. And let's not forget, lots and lots of salt water.
Enjoy!
