Reunited

Lemon tea, milk, and honey - where have you been all my life? Drinking that this afternoon, drawing this.
And good causes and nice things:
*Robert's Snow - Now THOSE are some ornaments! A nifty way to help benefit cancer research and own some terrific art. The auction runs through December 7.
*Buy Handmade: Encouraging shoppers this holiday season to buy handmade.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was delightful and a long weekend even more so! I've had my fill of stuffing and cranberry sauce, spent some time with family, and watched "The Incredibles" (which has to have some of the best end credits. Ever). I started working on Christmas ornaments last week (above) and there's some homemade pomegranate ice cream in the freezer, so there I go.

Well lookie here...

Some more drawing this weekend. Other elements of the weekend included pumpkin spice coffee*, going for a walk in the twilight bundled up to the gills, and catching a good ole' fashioned action flick.
And, I cut these out (!) while watching aforementioned action flick because I am incapable of sitting still:

*I tried giving up coffee last week. Not one of my more brilliant ideas.

Read, white, and black all over

I was stumped trying to come up with a Halloween costume this year. I'm not a huge fan of things involving excessive amounts of pancake makeup, cobwebs, or anything that would scare my grandmother.
Being an inveterate "Project Runway" fan since Season 1, I decided to try my hand at a newspaper dress. Armed with a whole ton of free weeklies, packing tape, needle and thread, a bag of skittles, and Game 3 of the World Series, this is what I came up with.*
The biggest challenge? Getting all that newsprint off my hands!
*Sounds like a shopping list for McGyver.
