Illustration Friday - Communication



I've never thought to throw bottles with messages into the water! Next on my list of "to do's."

Terrific, it's really got my imagination going. To me she's like Jane Austen heroine, demure and proper, but the red ribbon is the rebel in her .She wants a life of adventure, hence the messages in the bottles, someone to save her from dying of the boredom of drawingroom tea parties.it's a great illo.

I scanned the drawing, colored in photoshop, then layered a photo of wood texture over the finished piece, took down the opacity, and set it to multiply.
