Illustration Friday - Skyline

I was stumped for this one. Honestly, the first thing I thought was skyline chili.

With this one I was thinking of that Ben Folds song that sings, "Won't you look up at the skyline/
At the mortar, block, and glass/and check out the reflections in my eyes..."

Then I started thinking small fish in a big pond. All Marlo Thomas, you know?

And it's not like you have to twist my arm to draw robots.

Anyhow, these are all scanned out of my sketchbook, so they're a bit rough. I broke out the watercolors because I miss them...

Very nice. I'm jealous you can come up with and finish three illos in the time most of us take to get one done. Great work.

All three are great, but my favorite is the first. I love the way she's surveying her butcher paper masterpiece.

They are all so cute, I would hate to choose just one.

I love these rough ideas, especially the one at the top, the little girl with big architectural ideas. You had a good creative session. Now go get yourself some skyline chili, mmmmmmm.
